Frida Kahlo was an amazing woman.

​    She was born July 6, 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico City, Mexico. She lived during the Mexican Revolution and snuck out of church to walk in the gardens. (Not that I would ever do that!). At age 6, she got Polio. To help it heal, she took up boxing. Although it helped her foot and raised her spirits, she never fully recovered. Frida studied to be a doctor but unfortunately, she got severely injured in a bus accident. She could not be a doctor, due to her injury. The pain inspired her to paint the art we see today.* She married Diego Rivera, when he took her to America. She did not like it in America, but he would not take her back. They fought A LOT! She tried to get along with him, but he was not kind to her. She couldn't take it any more. They divorced. She was very sad, but she continued to do art.
